How many hop and distance can go for z-wave network?

Sita

Question

I am thinking to have Fibaro Lite to monitor and control device in my garden. Radius is within 100 meters. Wondering if z-wave can reach to that distance and how many hop they can go.

Anyone have done before, please share your experience. Thanks.

@Sita 4 hops. The maximum range with 4 hops is roughly ~200 meters.

Hi, Is it possible to use Third party sensor name

Please login or register to see this link.

with Z-wave?

Or any best way which helps me to connect wireless receiver which receives the sensor data and with the help of Z-Wave I 'll be able to monitor it with smartphones?

Any suggestion on this will be helpful.

you may use any sensors.

quotation of integration.

HC2 support HTTP(S) connection and VD support HTTP (without S) / UDP / TCP connection to other devices.

if your device has proprietary I fear that you cannot be done with a connection from HC2 only and you will find bridge (rPi / linux / etc).

also, you should be keeping in mind what Third-party sensors can't be fully integrated to HC2. You can OOB handle events like Z-wave devices and others.

OOB - out of box
