Borin

Question

I bought a mermaid Devolo (Zipato).
I get the LEDs on, but it does not sound.
According to the manual there are 7 sounds and for this use this:
The device supports using SWITCH_MULTILEVEL SET to play the
sound The sound ID is defined as follows:
1 or 255: Emergency sound.
2: Fire alert.
3: Ambulance sound.
4: Police car sound.
5: Door chime.
6 ~ 99: Beep Beep.
0: means stop the sound.

But I do not know how to activate it.

I dont have this particular device, but managed to change various setting on another zipato device by unchecking " Use templates for parameters", and made changes manually in configuration , i.e. number -datatype -desired value.  Dont know what your device will show, but following link lists several option for configurations.

Hi Borin,

I have the same siren. I send the template to fibaro support before 1 year but they did not add it to the "known" devices. I also tried to find a way using LUA but without any luck.

As far as I know there will be a Fibaro siren released this summer. I'm also waiting for a siren with templates.

However you can manually add parameters for basic configuration to get it work. A

Update: manual parameter changing not always works. I have two identical sirens. I could set one of them manually fine, but the other does not let me change anything. I did it with different FW versions. I think this may be an issue of HC2 FW version, not the device.

It seems fibaro doesn't have any interest to add this device with template. Probably because they will provide their solution. But this is not good for their customers. We choose what we will buy ...

there are some LUA for sending the data required for change the sound but AFAIK, you can not set these settings from fibaro API. Just for reference (or a rocket scientist who was a crazy idea...) please check the following
