Question: FIBARO Home for HomeKit Devices

When I read through the description of this App in Apples App Store, I get the impression, that the App would allow to also access a Home Center 2 or Home Center Lite and use Z-Wave as well as HomeKit devices in one App.

Is this a correct understanding?

Does someone have experiences with this?

That is not correct. There are two apps, one for Homecenter and z-wave and one for Apple Homekit.

However, is is possible to merge the two very different systems by using a Raspberry Pi and a bridge running a Fibaro plugin. I have a system like that and can use Siri on my iPhone to control scenes and devices.

  • I know about these workarounds.

However, the text in the Apple App Store suggests something else. See picture

I am curious if someone has tried this

The new app for z-wave do have siri shortcuts, so it seems close to be a multiformat feature, no reason for the Hkit version to not support the same functionality..

Hmm. Cannot test that as my devices are all controlled by my Homecenter but can be used through Apple Homekit.
