FGDW-002 not working after pressing bottom tamper

luke101

Question

Hi,

I already own a few Fibaro devices like the Dimmer 2 and they work great. This (Door/Window sensor 2 is my first battery operated Zwave node and I really struggle to make it work in my setup:

  • Setup
    • AEOTEC Z-Stick Gen 5 controller
    • OpenHab 2 running on a  RaspberryPi and OpenHabian latest version
  • Issue
    • After first setup with inclusion in Zwave network then waiting for it to wake up several times and be recognized by openhab  it all worked fine with opening and closing events coming through very well... until I pressed the bottom tamper button and then it just stopped working. I tried everything like remove and reinclude; remove then reset and even resetting my Aeotec Z-Stick  and redo my entire network.
    • After many attempts this morning I was again getting open/close events in OpenHab … and after pressing bottom tamper button it stopped again.
  • Analysis
    • I understand once included in a network pressing tamper button is waking the device. Is that the reason? What should I do after pressing tamper and having no response to get it back to work?

Thanks for your help,

Luc.
