battery change smoke sensor

Question

The smoke sensor does not detect new battery. I take out the old one, press the butten for 3 sec+ and insert the new one. There is a beep but it still shows low batt.

 

It works fine with other smoke sensors.

 

Use last udates on Home center Lite

 

Anye tip what coluld be wrong?

Hei, see enclosed attachment, if you haven't tried this before ?  

Simple checks:

Battery polarity

New battery

Corrosion on battery contacts.

 

You can also move your detector closer to HCL unit and try again.

This topic has been answerered quiet a few times already.

You have to wait for about half a minute before inserting the new battery (don't ask my why).

So: 

1. Remove battery

2. Wait 30 seconds (or longer)

3. Insert new one

(4.  Press B-button 3 times)

 

This will help

@Alex: GREAT Tipp!  Now, after exchanging a couple of expensive batteries with no change (shown still empty), it is now working.

@Fibaro: Shame on YOU! I'd expect Alex advice to appear in the manual - no doubt about it.
