Alexa skill does not find any devices

Question

Good evening everybody,

 

i had some problems with the Alexa skill lately, so I decided to delete all scenes and devices in the Alexa app and deactivate and activate the skill again.

 

So far, so good. I could connect the skill again, but Alexa could not find any device. I have round about 100, but none of them was found. After 10 times searching for devices, deactivating the skill and activate it again, I had at least 70 of my scenes found, but the devices are still missing.

 

I found a support document from fibaro, that defined a minimum software version, remote access and that the home center is listed on first position on home.fibaro.com. I checked all three things... no problem here.

 

Why does Alexa not find any devices?

Some ideas?

    i am using version 4.540 and all i did was disconnecting the skill, activate it again and start the search for new devices. 

    Thats really all and it worked.

    ...tried it yesterday about a dozen times, re-connecting skill and device discovery -with no success

     

    today after third attemp -it finally works. my devices are back, HCL 4.543 germany

     

    omg... what a story :-\

    HI Michael, damned ... what's wrong on my side. Also Philips Hue lamp is not found. Maybe an Alexa problem. Maybe Fibaro.

    Hi Michael,

     

    ok. Thanks. Then I thought must be a Alexa problem. I reseted all echo and deleted mobile phone app (to be absolutly sure there is nothing more saved anywhere), installed echos again, installed Skill.. and volá .. after nearly 2 weeks of trouble.. found again! :)

    I am just curious, if searching and finding devices now works stable or if it was just a lucky punch.

     

    But I do not want to be the one who tries that... ;-)

    I did ;):D (because renamed scenes and wanted them to have in alexa. Did not work -> delete -> not founded -> reseted everything from alexa -> found again)

    Can we assume that the issue has been solved for you?

    Or do you still experience the issue of devices not being discovered?

    alexa skill stil working fine for me at 12-07-2019 

     

     

     

    solved now it works.

    from yesterday same problem ..... again.... no one device or scene  from alexa fibaro skill.

    does any one know it is possible to connect to alexa with a non admin account.

    because sins September HA bridge stopped working with alexa.

    I don't want all the devices available on amazon.

    same problem here, all my devices not response

    monday has all ok, but yesterday all is off

    my app home center in iphone can note connect too

    my fibaro ID is ok, access in computer is ok

    the old app fibaro connect put new app nothing

    they show the menssagem error user auth when click name off HC

    same problem here  a week ago  had some access problem - deleted the device and de- and reactivated the skill - result non of the devices could be found anymore neither the scenes.. 

     

    so it seems to me there is still a persisting problem - are there any news to that - the support from amazon was not very helpful - Fibaro didn't-t react so far

    Have the same problem (HC2 4.570). I have removed all the devices (they worked, even if not always) because I could not add into Alexa the new ones.

    After removing all of them, disabling and enabling again both fibaro skills, I still cannot find any of the devices.

    Any idea what can be done? Or we put also Alexa on the same shelf with NEST thermostat, and soon Fibaro will make us give up everything  ?

    Too bad that not even the ones which worked before cannot be used anymore...

    I have the same problem.  I updated to 4.580. Since then I lost two outlets on Alexa.  Did a "Forget all" and a discover.  Now I have no Fibaro devices.

     

    Totally unusable now.

    Further to my previous post, I reverted my HC2 to previous version performed a rediscover and hey presto there were all my devices again. Bizarrere!!
