Light off after time with no movement (HomeCenter Light)

Patrick75

Question

Hello,

I'am trying to sett light off after the motion sensor not have seen any movement over a specific time period in the evening on a Fibaro HCL.

I have build a block scene for that or  use a variable to set day-part. The scene does not work at all. The light is on for hours at night and goes off in the morning. The motion sensor has not seen any movement for hours. What is wrong ? Why does it not work as aspected ?

Hi

Not fully understanding the logic here but there are several ways to accomplish what you are doing.

1) LUA Scripts - There are many topics in the forum that show how todo.

2) In the motions sensor itself - In the Advanced tab of the motion sensor. Edit Associations

With HCL (without LUA code) is a problem to create a good scene...

But... uncheck Part_of_day like a trigger (the upper part of scene), only motion sensor will be a trigger of this scene. May be, try to edit scene without this variable first, only with motion device. The brackets are very strange here...

BTW, using the variable makes no sense, because the light will turn off after 15minutes. There will be a problem with running instances of this scene, but withou LUA must be enough.

Associations are very easy for this, but you have to change some parameters of the motion senzor.

I did it like this,

firtsly it turns the light on if there is a movment (and other lights are off)

and then turns it off after 2 minutes

it's working :)
