So I do I install this in my old amplifier, like you advertise?

By soldering it to something inside the amplifier?

Good answer @Thomasn ?

But for me (and probably @djashjones too) I’m not that handy with soldering something together without a good manual of what to do.

I would also like to use the Fibaro Implant in some devices to make them smarter (like my built-in coffee machine) but I don’t know how to connect wires to existing wires or boards.

But I understand that it’s impossible to make a manual how to do this because every device looks different on the inside.

So I stopped “dreaming” about making the coffee machine smart.

  • Well, I did kinda gathered that.

Their website shows a quite modern amp while the only reference show an ancient record player. I presume it's wired similar to a light switch where the switch is the amp's power button.

I agree that Fibaro should have some kind of instructions about how to make a stereo compatible with the Fibaro system. Especially, as Fibaro use it as a feature in their advertising campaign. However, every stereo is different so any instructions has to be generic.

I have a smart coffee machine but it was already smart when I bought it. It works via ITTT and not directly with Fibaro. Cannot imagine the difficulties with soldering a smart implant into that machine to get the possibilities I want.
