CO Sensor - No data in app and loading times

Hi,

I have the Fibaro CO Sensor for around 1 year now and I have troubles with the FibaroHome App. All other smart devises in my eco-systems are working, but not the CO Sensor as I expect this. It is in a place with perfect WIFI or BlueTooth conditions, but the app is loading ages if I want to look and data provided by the sensor:

- Temperature history has a lot of gaps and sometimes a couple of days no data.

- During winter I had a few days were the ppm level went over 10ppm, but otherwise always 0ppm and history is empty

- Reset of the sensor and running it for a couple of days end up in the same behaviour after 1 week.

Is this really normal?

Best,

  Michael

Hello @Maikel1234

If it is possible, please share screenshots.

If accessory was paired successfully, but it doesn’t report the status correctly, there are two possible causes of such situation:
a) The accessory is out of range. Come closer with your mobile device and try again.
b) The battery is empty and needs replacing.

Here is what you can also do:

1. Remove this device.
2. Reset the device.
3. Add device again.

4. Check advanced parameter of your CO Sensor

  • @M.Andrzejewska thanks for getting back.

RE a) I am in the same room as the CO sensor and it doesn't matter whether I am 1 meter away or 5meters - same result. Wifi-Router is 4 meters away from the CO sensor.

RE b) Battery 60%, active and not manipulated

    RE 2) Already done

    RE 3) Already done

RE 4) Firmware 1.1.0; Device up to date

    • 2 weeks later...

Fibaro HomeKit CO Sensor has no WiFi. It works on BLE only.

Bring it closer to where your HomeKit Hub is located. See if problem persists. If it does not, that means where it was located is too far (since BLE does not have as far a range as WiFi). There is now at least one HomeKit Range Extender in the market (I think it is by Eve or one of those major HomeKit device makers) if extending the HomeKit range is needed.

  • @chaicka The HomeKit Hub (HomePod) is 3 meters away from the sensor.

BTW: After around 1 week of logging temperature data, again 3 days without any data.

Is a level of 0ppm normal during summer month?

@M.Andrzejewska What should the level of battery display after around 1 year? 60% seems a bit low. In which way I can get a free check of the device in terms of guarantee?
