RGBW Controller outside wall switch

msialk

Question

Hello,
I had normal wall switch with 3 standard 3 wires (not RGBW). I would like to install RGBW LED strip and switch it on/off with wall switch and changing colors with Fibaro RGBW Controller 2. Is it possible to install RGBW Controller 2 outside the wall? For example between RGBW strip and VDC Adapter? I guess it will be something like on the image below without potentiometer, but what should I connect to IN1-IN2?  Could you provide me a sample scheme?

Thanks :)

Hi msialk,

You may switch  the the L-Wire on input-side of your 12/24VDC adapter BUT

this will give you a dead node (Fibaro RGBW Controller) when your wallswich is OFF.

Better you use association or scene to switch the LED with Wall switch as Trigger.

When I look at your account Is see you are maybe rather new to Fibaro, so I think there should be some Forumadvice in you language about Blockscene and Association.

Switching the Adapter on/off will work but also will be not a good idea.

Regards

Gerhard
