I think (guess) that hc3 is running the same software as hc2. Both will run on Linux.

And i don't think there will be a zigbee controller in the hc3, fibaro has no zigbee devices and therefore no money to be made.

Linux have never been the problem ?

I hope they bring the new interface to the HC2 and HC3 is just an hardware upgrade with new protocols and they don't stop updating the HC2.

To be honest, hc2 hardware is good, we need new better and more stable software not hardware. I guess this is how they can earn some money.

Do you consider hc2 can lift new Linux kernel? Because this is a must to upgrade the software. Hc software consist of Lua binaries, as well as php and some cgi with apache or nginx. I dont believe any of it is distributed for such old kernel running on hc2.

Those are my assumptions only.

Where is the hottest place in the house?
Lilly says, master, don't buy an HC3 unless it is as warm and comfortable as my HC2!

If we have to wait as long as the Fibaro doorbell and then find out that it is outrageously expensive, I will stay with the HC2 for a while.
I would rather see a good app for a tablet, what good is to own a luxury car if the interior sucks ?

totally agree, I think the same.  I own a HCL. About 60 devices. 2 time based scene's. Had a lot of trouble. High ram, scene's not working.

@petergebruers recommended to buy a zniffer.

I did and followed the

Found a lot of communication flooding and errors.

HCL is running much better know. But still has its limits.

Want to upgrade but not to an older hardware device as an HC2.

So I will see and wait what the HC3 brings. Have no expectations, just curiousity. Will decide then what I will do.

Robbshop, a Dutch official fibaro supplier has a home center 3 in their webshop (Out of Stock).

Little information is mentioned.

It mentions Z-wave Plus, Zigbee and 433Mhz Nice chip.
