Turn lights off if left on for more than set time

Bips

Question

Hi,

I have just recently started to configure my Fibaro setup using scenes.

Can someone please tell me how i setup a scene where if one of my lights has been left on for more than say 15 mins during the day, they are switched off?

I cant workout how to set the timer interval in the magic scene.

Thank you

Hi,

you can set that up in the light config. There is a parameter for that so no need for scenes. On Parameter ten choose Auto OFF and on Parameter 12 choose the time interval.

    Do you turn ON lights by motion sensor?

    If so, it's no a good idea to turn OFF light after certain time. It should be turned OFF after 15 minutes that motion sensor is in safe mode.

  • Hi Cag014,

    Im not turning on using a motion sensor.

    Its a light in my sons bedroom, he has a habit of leaving it on in the morning. And what i find is that it stays on throughout the day.

    I just wanted to have something that if it is left on during the weekday after 9am, and for more than say 15 mins, it will be switched off.

    I know i can set the light device to auto turnoff after set time, i was thinking of the scene so that i can check the day and period of time is been on for,

    @Bips

    Try to use "All-in-One Scene" ( at download center) all you need for this scene is there.

    You don't have to......
