Associated dimmer doesn't work on first click after a long period of inactivity.

Hello,

I have a few associations in my house, all between Fibaro Dimmer 2's. All the associated dimmers are trigger from the 2nd switch on another dimmer, so group 5, and generally work fine. However, after a period of inactivity, say 2 hours, I have to press the switch 2 times to get the associated dimmer to turn on or off. After that they work fine again on the fist click. Its almost as though either the transmitting or recieving dimmer is sleeping after some time. It doesn't however affect the z-wave or local control, all seems to running smoothly.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks,

Max

That's how associations work. If you turn the dimmer on with an association, and off with a scene or on the dimmer itself, you will have to click twice the next time. The actual status is not updated.

Thanks for that. It makes sense now i think about it. The transmitting device won't know that the receiving devices's state has changed, so on first click it sends the wrong command but on the second it will automatically send the correct command.
