Smart Implant as alarm sensor

MarcFinns

Question

Hi there, I connected the smart implant to my existing garage door opener. One of the inputs reads the status of the shutter (open/closed).

I would like to use this input to trigger the alarm, but it does not seem to be possible to consider it as a sensor in the alarm panel.

Did anyone succeed? thanks.

Hello MarcFinn@, in my opinion SmartImplant is the wrong device for your plan. Use an old FIBARO DoorSensor (https://manuals.fibaro.com/door-window-sensor/) and connect it as external sensor, This must be happen.

The downsides are an not commercial battery and it is not zwave-plus.

  • HelloSpedo67, those sensors will not fit. The door already has a sensor, which I am using and I connected to the smart implant. I correctly see the door opened and closed from Fibaro but apparently I can’t make it recognised as a door sensor in the alarm panel. Besides, not sure why the one you suggest would be any different. Please explain. Thanks.

Did you enabled Fibaro alarm panel?

Do you have any device in your system with arm/disarm options. see below:

  • I have over a dozen sensors connected to the panel and all work. I need to add one of the inputs of the smart implant to the panel
