Magnet strips for Fibaro Smoke detectors

Sjekke

Recommended Posts

Today my Fibaro smoke sensors are hanging on the ceiling with double velcro tape. This makes removal easy when you need to replace a battery and you don't have to drill holes. Now there are also double-sided magnetic strips specially for (= read non-intelligent) smoke detectors.

Question :

  • Can you also use these magnetic strips for Fibaro smoke / CO2 detectors?
  • Do the magnets have an influence on the operation of the intelligent detectors (z-wave, other, ...).

Greetings,

    Hello,

There should not be an issue.

CO sensor is a chemical one and smoke sensor is an optical sensor.

Magnet should not have any influence on its correct working.
