Grid of 12 controllers - do they interfere with other?

eliotlovell

Question

Hi -

We have a wall with 12 RGBW LED strips and the wiring all comes out in a box in a cupboard nearby.

We have 12 RGBW Controllers wired in to control the lights but they aren't responding reliably or even at all - so my first question is - will having 12 controllers in a 30cm sq grid cause a problems with reception/interference?

Thanks :)

I can't say I've had that many controllers together, but I do have situations with 8-10 controllers of different Fibaro modules and they work fine.

When you say "aren't responding reliability" what do you mean?

I have found the RGBW modules to be quite slow... You can't keep changing colours quickly, you have to wait for a few seconds then change again.

You also can't change all the colours at the same time even if you have associated them. They will keep up with the colour changes and then only the master will keep changing colours, but when you let go of the wall switch the others will catch up.
