Door Sensor chime using Aeotec Siren 5 or Siren 6

MonkY

Question

Hello everyone!

I just mounted my Fibaro Door Sensors and I would like to use them like a store doorbell (the chime sound it makes when you open a door).

I have both Aeotec Siren 5 and Siren 6, but I have no idea how to make them work together.

Practically I just want this simple task when the door is open:

1. Play a little chime sound on Aeotec Siren

2. Send a message saying "The door is open"

Thanks in advance for your help!

I believe you can set up a scene to accomplish this:

Trigger - [Door/Window Sensor} = Breached (or breached and disarmed)
THEN
select one of the Aeotec sounds to opposite state

and

select the same Aeotec sound to opposite state [3s]

and

Push notification - [ The door is open ] to your mobile

  • Thanks Danial. But i think i'm doing something wrong, as there is no sound coming from the Aeotec. Maybe because i can't do the second step ("select one of the Aeotec sounds to opposite state"). I can only set it to 3s (or enter a value).

The Push notification works... but no sound.

Any hint why? I will attach a screenshot:

    From the then:

    Siren 6 bell = Opposite State [0s]

    and

    Siren 6 Bell = opposite state [3s]

    and

    push notification

    can you try that?

Maybe the timer needs to be longer? if you dont have the second opposite state - will the siren sound?

  • I have tried without the opposite state - no sound.

I have tried using different values for the sound (0s - 10s) - no sound.

I even thought the device is dead. But If i press On the Siren 6 Bell - I have sound.

    This is killing me...
