Trigger a scene by an external HTTP command

Question

Posted

I have a sliding gate, which can send http commands when its state is opened or closed.

Is it possible, that the HC2 can receive such a command, so that I can trigger for example a scene?

Your gate has to do a html call like this:

Please login or register to see this link.

where

xxx = IP of your HC2
yy = ID of the scene you want to trigger
zzz = username and password of a user of the HC2 with rights to this scene (make a special user with only one right)
www = type of event that you want to trigger

Hope this works for you too

This is really helpful. I need to do something similar but pass a value to a virtual device. Can this be done?

Hi, this seems to be working for Safari on Mac but not Safari for iOS. On safari for iOS Safari prompts me to enter the login details again.

    Any suggestion?

    thank you
