HC3 and events

Question

Guest kallecux

I hope that I can trigger a scene if I generate an event in another scene.

Scene 1:

fibaro.emitCustomEvent("testevent")

Scene 2 DECLARATION:

{
  conditions = { {
      isTrigger = true,
      operator = "==",
      property = "testevent",
      type = "custem-event"
    } },
  operator = "any"
}

but, when i send the event "testevent" scene 2 is not startet.

Greetings!

Karl Heinz

Haven’t tried but should it be ’custom-event’ instead of ‘custem-event’ ?

And you have defined the event prior?

  • :-) - i took the code from the documentation:

    Quote

    Custom events
    For custom events, the interpretation of conditions fields is as follows:

    type – takes value "custem-event".
    property – name of the custom event (text).
    isTrigger – takes value true.

    but i did not work, if i change it to "custom-event".

    I thought, that the definition is the DECLARATION....where is it to define?

    One of the panels, or do api.post("/customEvents",{name=<name>,userDescription=<descr>})
