Device tampered

Rapha99

Question

Hello,

Some of my sensors display the error message "device tampered". Does anyone know that? Does anyone have a solution?

Could you post a picture of the error?

Look like you are using third party application, right?

In any case I suggest to verify that your sensor is actually not tampered and connected well.

You can view tamper state using API.

Got the same issue with a complete new device, delivered from Amazon.

Did a device reset - no change.

Any ideas to fix, before I send it back ?

Are you using other dubble sided tape? Thicker as the original?

Thanks for the fast answer. What do you mean with "dubble sided tape" ?

I did not mount the device to a wall until now.

If it is not mounted the tamper is working... that's the idea for the tamer switch.

By the way you can configure the device to stop sending tamper state detection.

Got it ! Thanks for the hint.

I didn't fully close the cover (turn til the end), which caused that the microswitch inside did not close.
