Removing devices manually/forcefully

P77

Question

Hi all,

In the new Home Center 3 web interface, I can click on devices and end up on

Please login or register to see this link.

/app/settings/devices, and then choose "Z-wave" to be able to find the trashbin.

Clicking the trashbin and then the button "Continue" to start the exclusion process (Learning Mode).

I then click the red cross with circle around for manually excluding the device, and I get the following information in the status screen;

[12:12:02] ID 20: NOP sending succeeded. The device has not been removed. Please use Learning Mode to remove it.

[12:12:02] Removing devices finished

[12:11:56] Home Center in learning mode

The device is a Home Center 2 unit which I added to see what I could do with it. I do not have the HC2 here anymore - which means I have to manually (with force) remove the damn thing. But I can't.

Any ideas?

Greatfull for any tips! :)

/Peter

You didn't really read the question did you?

How is it that after more than a year there is still no option to do this?

Since the terrible migration from HC2 I'm stuck with semi-working to none-working devices and no way to remove them or working properly.

I can't in good conscience recommend Fibaro to my customers...

Yes, when it works properly, restarting is not always a solution either.

Yeah sorry about my frustrated post. I had a few hours of problems with the HC3.

Devices that were not migrated properly from HC2

Devices that don't want to remove

Device list that is too long so the browser has a hard time processing everything, making one button press take 30 seconds...

Removing a device -> activating device 1 and unrelated device 36 gets deleted...

I was about to throw it out the window :)

I started with HC3 from scratch no migration less??? problems.

"Yes, when it works properly, restarting is not always a solution either. " >> sometimes its only gone after restart.

I did an exclude devices many times in HC3;

-sometimes need restart

-some  "Hanged" and where able to get rid of with swagger

what a joke if you cant forcefully remove a device

Hey, do you have a problem with removing devices then?

You are in the right place for help, but with such a mediocre opening post on the forum i wonder if that will happen, or will help anyway :)

HC3 has not been the easiest to figure out, but I was able to remove a powered-down device from the list using the advice posted, as shown in the screenshot. Clicked on the garbage can icon and the device went away (was removed from the list of devices) after some "thinking" (a wait symbol - circling red dot).
