HC3 and Hue?

nicman

Question

Hi everbody!

I just bought the HC3 after using Homey for quite a while and starts to wonder if i just invested a lot of money down the drains?

The problem i have is that i can not see any Philips Hue lights in the Iphone app... I can se them in the Dashboard in my computer but not in the app..

I am doing something wrong? Can I get it to work?

Thank you all in advance for some guidance.

BR

Nick

Please login or register to see this link.

, after updating to version 2.25 "Dowload / Install Main Hue and Update QAs" it is not possible to create a QA for a separate HUE bulb with the "Create QA Standard Light" button and also with the "Create QA Color Light" button.
More precisely, QA is created only with the On / Off button, also QA variables are not created.

In the previous version 2.20 it was functional.

Thanks @SBK corrected in version 2.26

Download here or via HueMain (lights and group of lights created in 2.25 (only) have to be deleted and created again

Just upload icons to QA for lights (only for standard lights, for color lights is not possible to change icons)

I've a problem, i modify the variable ip address, user and bridge name, save the data restart the QA but nothing happens, the system return me that there's no bridge defined. I've restart the HC3, the Hue bridge but nothing... I've test to remove the user but nothing. What i miss??

LS.

PS: i found the error, i've read a user that have identical problem, in my case the problem was the DNS (i've setting the Google DNS, i change my HC3 configuration in DNS1 point on the router and the DNS2 point on google). I change it and the QA work very well, many thanks @petrkl12

I am currently using QuickApp.

When the light is not connected, the status is not reflected.

Color response does not work when using home bridge.

Color response does not work when using home bridge.

In QA devices there will be only information that is directly in Philips Hue Bridge.

(You can check it via Philips Hue APIs)

btw status and other items can be correctly changed only if light is connected to bridge.

I don’t use home bridge so I don’t know how home bridge is changing values in bridge but again in QA you will see exactly what you have in your Philips Hue Bridge.

There can be also difference between colors in light group and separate light. Home bridge can change color for separate light but your QA is connected to light group...

There are times when light is connected to the bridge and sometimes not. This condition is not coming out.

The figure below is the screen when the device is not connected. The device is seen as disconnected with fibaro; however, it is not visible in the app.

Do not you still support the hue dimmer switch in QuickApp?

Hue dimmer switch is supported in Hue Main. What do you expect?

If you mean icon - you have to upload icons to HueMain and get icon id (4 digit number) and put these numbers to variables in HueMain (as ZLL switch - than all your ZLL switches will use same icon) or to local variables in QA for switch

Click on Add Icon

Here is my list of icons in HueMain

Please login or register to see this attachment.

How to add icons for Hue Dimmer Switch (ZLL switch):

1. You have to upload icons for Hue Dimmer Switch to HueMain (save these 5 icons to your computer and upload these files to HC3 in HueMain - General tab - press Add icon)

Please login or register to see this image.

/monthly_2020_08/HueSwitchDimmer.png.c06793364674822f73c1950859a01faf.png" />HueSwitchDimmerOn.png.c318281066d351fd4a78f4244ee05218.pngHueSwitchDimmerOff.png.a21a88ee9f0c69def1131b20d7020862.pngHueSwitchDimmerDimUp.png.12473ab34309fb17a403166435c9079b.pngHueSwitchDimmerDimDown.png.fe5aed69cb42db67e160e2207d2e48de.png

2. Get icons ID in HC3 (in browser, right button on mouse and save uploaded icons from HC3 to your computer (Save as picture ...) and then in file name there will be : UserXXXX.png

3. Put these numbers (XXXX) to variables in HueMain. In my case I have icon id's 1008,1009,1010,1011,1012

image.png.7d218424fac18d635815ed32142ade10.png

4. Save values and HueMain will be restarted

5. Check if Hue Main is running and if icon for hue switch was changed

6. Try to press different buttons on switch and check if icon will be changed correctly

Here is icon for Hue Main:

You have it in my previous post :)

Thanks I add icon.

Does the button only reflect the condition?
Shouldn't the action be activated when you press the button(the action by button is saved possible)?

You can not make like binary switch?
