How to configure param14 for magnetic switches

Guest Hubertus

Question

Guest Hubertus

Hi all,

i have a fibaro rgbw controller and magnetic switches as input. The switches are normaly closed and wenn they open the lights have to switch on.

The normal usage is switch close = light on / switch open = light off.

Is there a way to behave cautiously to switch close = light off / switch open = light on.

I test it with Param 14 but with no result.

Thank you for any help

I have exactly the same case, want to use RGBW for window magnetic sensors (2 wires).

Anybody could help?

@Hubertus How did you "open" hidden param 14? I cannot see it.

  • Sorry for the delay ... i have tested some options.

    1. you can disable "use template" in the HC2 for the RGBW dimmer and so you can see all parameters

    2. i use a secondary controller aeotec gen5 zwave stick to manipulate the param 14 -  but this didn't help

    3. my workaround was to use two RGBW controller, one with the input 1-4 (here you MUST assign the HC2 in the first assosiationgroup - otherwise the HC2 is not informed when the switches change there state) - then two scenes to change the incomming value from 0 to 99 e.g. 99 to 0 uan send them to the second RGBW controler to switch the Light.

    4. but - there are macnetic switches from abus with a NO (normaly open) reedcontact. With this i am very happy and no workaround is needed.
