Smart implant operating intermittently

Petebitt

Question

I have two smart implant devices. One for a garage door and one for automatic gates.  The one on the garage works fine, every time. The one on the gates works intermittently. Sometimes it will work with one press, other times I need to press multiple times before it operates the gate.  Anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
The controller is outside the house, so I have put a SmartSwitch 6 on the adjacent wall inside the house in case it was a matter of signal strength but this has not seemed to solve the issue.

  • The issue here was setting parameters 156 and 157.  For my garage door a .1 sec pulse was adequate, but for the automatic gates they required a .3 sec pulse to operate reliably.  After changing 156/157 to 3 it worked reliably.
