Device learning with HC3

pblacky

Question

Today I tried to teach some products to my HC3. Unfortunately it doesn't work!

It is a NodOn Soft Remote and a Hank Scene Controller.
Both devices worked in the old HC2. When teaching, there is no connection between the HC3 and the devices although I use the teaching processes of the manuals.

Does anyone have a tip on how I can find out WHERE the problem is?
I started my HC3 before, that did NOT bring a solution

Strange, my two Nodon soft remotes work absolutely normally...

EDIT:

No, you are right, I tried to add a third one I had and it didn't work.

The other two were included in an earlier version...

So, definitely a bug.

@pblacky @Resiba

Pblacky - write that you used the driver in HC2. I may ask stupidly, but did you reset NodON and erase it from the old system? I have the same driver and I even used it as a standalone controller. Then I had to reset the controller, switch to slave mode and assign it to HC3 only after the initial "removal" mode.

@Martin_N You are right: after resetting the NodOn, it could be normally included.

    Thanks @Martin_N and @pblacky,

I have reset the remote control (not taken the time to read the manual ...).

Now, she is normally included, and i have an access to the actions provided by the button.

    But nothing happens!
No scene launched when a button is pressed! (on HC3)

I am going to find out how to readjust the parameters as on the HC2.
But it seems incomplete on the HC3 !!!

Nodon devices (most of them) can be configured to use central scene or scene activation. Depending on how they has been setup, they might not be properly recognized (the clicks).

//they might not be properly recognized (the clicks)

Tinman probably means that NodOn can work in steam key mode (2x2) or simple (4x1).
I recommend using only 4x1 (each button separately) to activate scenes. Be careful, if you hide the associated elements (drivers or others), the scenes have a problem.

My NodOn wall switch is now working properly on HC3. You have to use trigger like

Please login or register to see this code.

And in your code something like that:

Please login or register to see this code.

Don't forget to set parameter 3 with value 1.
