Fibaro intercom with doorbell

hi @leszekoak,

you might be surprised but Fibaro didn't prepare the device to have a doorbell connected.
You might think why would you need a high-tech video doorbell that no one can hear if used, but it seems Fibaro engineers did oversee this requirement.

 

To sum up: you have to come up with your own solution if you want to get notified by someone ringing at the front door other than your mobile device.

 

My workaround: I use the plugin in HC2 to get notified about the button press on the intercom. Then a scene runs and triggers a http call to TNES web server running on an android tablet. There the tasker app listens for the call and plays a mp3 file over the speakers.

(actually it does some additional stuff like turning on the tablet, switching to thehomeremote app, takeing a screenshot of the app showing time, date and the video feed of the intercom. but thats not relevant for your requirement).

 

Still unbelieveable ... a video doorbell that doesn't support a doorbell. Bravo Fibaro ?
