Flood Sensor Not Sending Sound Notification to Iphone

New to the site - Hello from the US

I was wondering if anyone else is having an issue where the flood sensor does not send a sound notification to their Iphone.  Everything else works fine - the alarm on the sensor works, it does send a push notification to my Iphone but not a sound notification.  For me its important because my flood sensor is in the basement and me and my Iphone are upstairs.  So I cant hear the flood sensor down stairs when it goes off and the push notification doesnt tell me there is an issue until i look at my Iphone.  A sound notification would allow me to know there is an issue when I am asleep.  All my other apps have a sound notification.  I am an apple guy and homekit user.  What I did notice that was weird is that the fibaro app itself does not appear under the iphone notification section like most of my other apps do.  I have reached out to Fibaro support several times and have gotten different answers each time - 1) reinstall the sensor, or 2) faulty sensors, or 3) its not suppose to make a sound notification.

Can anyone help with this issue. I cant be the only person to experience this.

Thanks in advance.

MLH

Hi MLH,

I just discovered I have the same issue today. Device started making its audible alert but nothing popped up on my iOS devices. There appears to be a valid link to the iOS devices as I can see the temperature readings via both the Home app and the FibaroHome app, but no indication the at my washing machine was leaking water....

I also have the same problem.

I have setup a fibaro flood sensor, z wave, and added it to my Thinka Gateway, z wave gateway for homekit. Which works great for my other fibaro z wave devices.

the sensor shows up in HomeKit and reports temperature. But HomeKit doesn’t report leaks . It’s reported in the thinka web interface.

what can be wrong?

Hi all,

Sorry to revive an old thread but I just setup the flood sensor, added to HomeKit and received only one single notification (I tested the detector by connecting 2 of the three golden pins together).

I hear the sound but there is no notification sent anymore.

(I need the notifications to setup automations.)

How did you guys solve the issue?

Cheers,

Maxime
