Wall Plug shortened itself

JanRemco

Question

Ok, so yesterday one of my Wall Plugs exploded, and my whole house was without energy. I only used it as a measuring device. I knew it was a *abuse* product, as from the first 6 i bought at Robbshop in the netherlands around 50% were dead on delivery, and one i had to repair a few years later as the internal antennae broke.

I'll be goint to start using other brands for HA. Any advice?

The same thing happened to me 3 months ago. Short circuit although no consumer

was plugged in. The fuse always went off until I found the culprit on the stage.
Only discovered because my garage door no longer opened. The Wallplug was

3 years old and was only used at Christmas.
