Strange email behaving

jwi

Question

When I send the following mail via the HC2,
This is line 1.
This is line 2.
This is line 3.
It arrives in this form in the mail client.

If I send the same email with the HC3, the email arrives as follows:
This is line 1.This is line 2.This is line 1.This is line 3.
All CRLF are missing.

Tested with 2 different Clients on mobile device and windows.

With the HC2 you could also transfer a subject. Now the subject is allways called "Message from Fibaro"

Is this the state of development or am I doing something wrong?

  • I would have preferred to keep my mouth shut.
Since yesterday all emails without CRLF have been coming in via the HC2.

And I still thought that Fibaro would eventually support HTML email.

@A.Socha , I don't understand these setbacks. What are the reasons for this?

  • With the HC2 the mails are formatted correctly again, but not with the HC3.

I have also Problems with sending formatted E-Mail's:

I used since more then one year a "/n" for a new line in the eMail-Body.

Since about one week - it does'nt work any more... no line Break!

Yesterday i change the "/n" to
-- that worked for me - but only one Day!!

Today - i get the e-Mail message again without a LineBreak!

so in the moment either the "/n" nor the
works as a line break!!

whats going on - FIBARO ????

    Has anybody an idea?

    Thanks,

    Klaus

    Hi

we replaced our old notification server on new one - right now when old was have problem new one is much more faster and it is not heavy loaded

By replace we forget about CRLF but we added fix yesterday

So right now it is working on cloud side - that way HC2 is getting it good

I reported problem with Hc3 email

In the Moment, new line command ist not working in anyway!

    I tried:

    /n or
So, please fix your noti-server!

    Thanks,

    Klaus

    SORRY:

    My mistake!!

The formatting is now working again!

    The right command for new-line = \n (not /n !!!)

so, for me (with HC2) the formatting body-text is now working again!
