Manual Ignition

Fabrizio1969

Question

Good morning
i have a HC2 ver.4590 with a little problem:
every time he removes the voltage at home he doesn't restart, is that normal?
the HC2 is positioned in the center of the house in a slightly uncomfortable attic for manual ignition, how can I solve it?

My HC2 periodically doesn’t restarted after power outages. It annoyed me. So I have powered my HC2 via UPS.

another watchdog was via raspberry pi

if rPI was succ booted but ping to HC2 doesn’t work rPI send to WiFi plug SonOff command to power off and after 1 min power on

than script trying to check ping HC2 again and looping if not

:)
yes, maybe easy way here is RMA, may you have a some hardware failure here, but idk what is right ;)

Little bit more specific? ;)

What the "restart" means - the power up or system ready - here.

Does the front LED's lit up aft power outage or the system stays just dark?

Actually, as there is a "ordinary PC" inside the HC2, then there may be several reasons to "stay dark":

a. The BIOS is set to stay of after power failure (aft. power restore the system stays dark till power button pressed).

b. There is something wrong with BIOS/hardware config (for example the RTC batt)

...

May-be the best way to solve the problem is to connect a monitor and keyboard, and look, what's happening, if the power restores.

  • Buongiorno
