If so, the dialog while using the online/cloud portal should not have the text "Do You want to download and install new software version", but rather tell you connect locally directly (with a link you can try) and/or to use the App while connected locally. It is sold over the counter here in a convenience store for electronics, and they in general do not respond much, and faulty products you just go back to the store with and claim your money back or replacement.
