DS18b20 0°C readings

ljsvv

Question

I have a Smart Implant paired with 2 DS18B20 sensors.

Situation worked for weeks, then it showed 0°C readings and the sensors didn’t update anymore.

Changed sensors and after 4 hours working fine the same 0°C readings occur.

Any tips that I could try to fix this?

@ljsvv Are you using the cheap chinese versions or the original ones?

What is the psu on the implant?

  • Hi, I am using an industrial type 12V PSU from a respectable brand.

I took one waterproof sensor down and I fear that I bought a fake sensor according to some website I found.

    I bought these on amazon.

  • And here we go, I took apart a sensor of which I thought is broken but actually it is a fake one...

I will try to purchase original ones and I hope this will fix it.

    Ah i thought so,

the originals are not expensive but most shops prefers the "fake" ones

If you are using waterproof ones, check if they are indeed waterproof. use them a couple of days out of the water before using them in the water.
