Driving me crazy with 2way installation

Decorpc

Question

Hi guys

I need some help with a 3-way instalation. I saw hundreds of diagrams, reading thousand of forums, but I can't make go a Dimmer 2 into a 3-way installation.

First of all I'm newby and my electrician knowledge are very small.

I have two Bticino toggle on/off switch, with 3 cables each (1-2-L). The switches work perfect, but not with my dimmer 2. I can't identify the live and neutral, and the colors change in some point between the switches and the bulb. I have and electrical box with all the conexions and cables and think is here the best place to find all the cables that I need.

Please can someone tell me which cables and where do I have to put them in dimmer 2? but an explanation for a dummies :-)

Thank you so so much

Can you switch the light with one of the switches, ON and with the other switch OFF??

    Hi @Decorpc,

    You could connect like this.

But I would buy a voltage tester, and if you're not really sure about things ask a trained electrician.

    No warranty given.

  • Tank you Flash for your diagram. Tomorrow I'll try it and ask a friend who is electrician, but we don't know what and where have to connect the cables.

    Again, Thank you very much

Hi Flash, your desing works PERFECT ??

I used a conection box to find all the cables (also I had to add new one from one L to dimmer)

    Thank you very very much
