Dimmer 2 doesn’t dim

Rds

Question

I installed the dimmer 2 with a bypass to dim a rail with sqube spots from Wever & Ducré.  I can switch the spots on and off, but I cannot dim them.  I have already adjusted parameters 13 and 30 (and also 1 and 2) but that does not work.  When I remove the bypass, the first 2 spots (of the 6) flash when the dimmer is off.  The dimmer is connected with 3 cables.
Does anyone have a solution?

Keep the bypass, and 3 cable setup.

After you do a calibration (Parameter 13), what does parameter 33 (dimmability) report?  And is parameter 32 set to allow dimming?

  • Parameter 33 (dimmability) report: 0 (Load recognized as dimmable). Parameter 32 is set to 2 (mode selected automatically). I change this parameter to 0 (on/off mode disabled (dimming is possible)). That makes no difference.

Seems you have those parameters set correctly.  Will have to wait and see if someone else can help.  Matching dimmers and drivers and bulbs can sometimes be hard work!
