I don't have knowledge of Arrowhead (it looks like it's an NZ company), but I'm interested in how you progress with this.  My preference is to use a separate dedicated security system as I believe this is more robust than using a home automation solution like Fibaro...seems you believe the same.

My previous research on my own alarm was that it is hard to tap into the alarm system - its a secure system after all. Eg keypad communication is encoded back to the main unit. But it may be possible to arm it, this helps with automating your exit from the building. Turning off the alarm however, it's not as secure to allow the home automation system to do this.

Looking at the arrowhead manual on the Web, it appears you can connect a key switch to allow arming of zone A. You could connect a fibaro switch to achieve this...Smart Implant should work. Note arrowhead only allow arming this way, not disarming, for the reason I mentioned above.

seems this didn't post earlier:

Another thought...if you have a remote key fob that you can cannibalise, you can use a smart implant to activate the buttons on the fob. That way you can achieve control of both arm and disarm functions.
