Scene http requests are executed at the end altogether

iS21

Question

Hello,

I use some scenes do command my Hue lights and today, while trying to make some new complex scenes, I discovered that the http commands are sent at the end of the scene, and all together.

Let me explain:

Please login or register to see this code.

This works perfectly.

But now, if I add "sleep(5000)" at the end, the command is triggered only after the sleep.

Please login or register to see this code.

In this case, the device turns on and 5 seconds later it turns off.

But not for the http requests.

For example, with the full codes here I would have the lights command only after the device 1 is turned off, 5 seconds later.

The issue for this is because I want to send a command to the light with a long transition time, sleep and then send a new command to the same light.

Obviously when they are fired at the end together only one works.

Also it's not only about lights it does that with all webpages.

I know this example code is usually for QuickApps... so maybe I miss something there?

Thanks

  • mmm interesting... I still don't get the difference between the "calls" and the "http" then, but yes it works while putting the request in a setTimout!

    Thanks  ?
