Using a dimmer to remotly control 3 other dimmers?

corm

Question

Hi

I'm pretty new to HC3, and so far in the couple of weeks I've had I've so far only added a few z-wave devices.

Now I was playing around to try and use a Dimmer 2 to control 3 other dimmers (Qubino mini dimmers). The Dimmer2 will be located in a wall box without any load, so will act as a remote. I've figured out that it should be possible through associations, but realized the Dimmer 2 needs a load.

But I also read that it sounded like it should be possible to control the dimmers, and send dim commands, thru association by a normal switch? If a switch acts as a remote, will it require a load as well?

But I also started thinking about how it would actually work with the association. Lets say I have one dimmer turned on, and two turned off - if I then send a command from the "master" will all three just switch their statuses or can the association make so all three turn on or off?

Or would it be better to deal with it through scenes?
