Group devices HC3

Question

Hi everyone.

 

One simple question, but I don't solve it :-)

 

I have 4 ligths into the same room. I wnat to make a scene were the four lights goes off. Into the scenes tab in HC3 have cevices and groups, but I don't know how to group, for example, the 4 lights into one group....

 

Can someone help me?

@Decorpc There are two ways to do it

1. You can link the devices which you want to switch off together. Make sure that you uncheck the box 'Hide devices included in the linked device' if you want to control them separately as well.

2. Update to the latest beta 5.41.50 and you can group them in the scenes.

 

Disadvantage option one, you've got one extra device in your dashboard for your linked group. Not possible to hide, work-around is to put them in a hidden room :)

Disadvantage option two, you can't always group different type of devices some of them has to be identical type devices. with linking device you're more flexible with combining e.g. a dimmer 2 and a RGBW device.

  • With the last firm, the problem is solved. Now apears groups of devices automatically
