z-water and Z-temp2 on HC3

Question

Hello.

Do anyone have any experiance With this combo? Heatit z-temp2 was made for this reason, but i can't  get it to work.

I'm pretty New With fibaro, but everything have gone easy until now.

Do anyone have a a-b-c how to set it all up working for a noob like me? :)

you need use associations group 3 and some valve or switch to manage. Then valve and termostat are linked to work.

when you wish to use properly association, please remember to set first:

- only multichannel association from endpoint 0 to HC3 (on z-water)

- only multichannel association from endpoint 0 to HC3 (on z-temp2)

 

After that step you can use/set association from Z-temp2 (endpoint 0, group 3) to one of the channels on z-water, which will be then controlled via association. If you haven't set properly the mulitchannel first (and removed single channel as well), the z-temp2 will turn on all channels instead of only the one which has been associated.

Interesting and confusing example of how multichannel and single channel can interact (and some vendor dependent implementation details as well).

 

In some areas, Z-Wave carries a lot of weight because it is an evolving standard with backwards compatibility constraints!
