Disconnect Input and Output on smart implant

Rene Groothuis

Question

I want to use the Smart Implant to control my doorbell, do I read it correctly that the input cannot be disconnected from the output?

At certain moments on the day I don't want the bell to go off when somebody pushes the doorbell. I want to create a script that checks the time of the day and determines if the bell needs to go on or not.

But if the Input is always trigging the output to be enabled then this approach is not working.

Is there are parameter that I can set on the smart implant to disconnect the input from the output?

Good evening

Yes, if the outputs are separated from the inputs, the inputs and the outputs have separate IDs.
This means that they can also be used like all other IDs.
Try it out it works fine.

Greetings to the neighboring country stay healthy!

I don't know if it's the best way to change the input / output parameters with a script.
This can lead to "stupidity" of the device function. Be sure to separate the inputs and outputs with the help of the parameter, but I would perform that blocking with the help of the second relay, which will disconnect your button from the outside. Then you will write only a scene, which will turn the second relay on and off according to time and you don't have to worry that something will not work after changing the parameter ...
No need to tie too complicated :)

  • Thanks for the feedback. Ive seen that overview about the parameter configuration but I don't know how to configure this. I'm use the Fibaro components like the smart implant, dimmers and switches but I'm not using the Fibaro controller system. I'm using the Domoticz home automation platform.

How can I send the configuration paramaters to the smart implant to disconnect the input from the output? Which data needs to be send to the device? If I don't have the Fibaro controller, how can I send that specific configuration?

Looking forward to the feedback and suggestions.

  • This is an overview of the parameters I can configure from the Domoticz platform.

Is there are parameter I need to set to change the input/output behaviour?
