Dimmer works with 1 pendent but not another.

Question

Hi all.

I have a dimmer relay in my toggle switch. This works as it should with my temporary bog standard pendent with a bayonnet fit while we were renovating. Now it's time to fit the pendent we want with an E27 fitting and typically, the light doesn't work and I get a 'load error'. The wattages are the same. *Pictures* White pendent is the old one, gold is the new one. Boxed lamp is the new one.

I'm a little confused by your question. Did you have a classic light bulb with a tungsten fiber on the original pendant, or LED? I understood that it doesn't work with LEDs. It is so? Did you use Bypas? If you have everything as with an old pendant, make sure the phase is connected to the bottom pin of the sleeve, not the thread.

  • Hi. The bulb that works is a bayonnet LED dimmable 7w. So it does work with an LED bulb. I have simply changed the pendent over. The new pendent is an E27 fitting. The new bulb is an LED 7w dimmable. This new bulb does not work and I get a load error despite changing the parameters.

Apologies for the confusion, I hope this is a bit clearer?
