Home Center 3 login problem, after migration HC2 > HC3

impact

Question

Today I was migrating my HC2 to HC3. Everything seemed to be ok, until I tried to reach my HC3 and login.

The password is not accepted and I can't login to it anymore, tried all variants.

Also reset my password, bu the new password was also not accepted.

The default admin - admin also doesn't work.

Any suggestions?

Can I, for example, set it to factory defaults and restore a backup from my HC2 again?

Would be grateful if anyone has an idea....

Hi,

You can do a factory restore, is as brand new and empty

Than you should again migrate HC2>>HC3

Keep in mind all scenes you need to create again.

So perhaps easier to include your devices one by one.

Remark: adding devices in HC3 goes much better and faster as in  HC2

Succes,

  • Hi Sjakie,

Is it possible to do the migration a second time, even if the the devices in the HC2 are already 'inactive' ?

I would not mind to add the devices again, but a lot of them are in not to easy accessible locations.

Really appreciate your answer! Thank you!

    Remon

No you can only migrate once, did you already try admin/admin after the migration?

Yes I tried this already, no access... Damn, think I need to do a clean start with all devices... just over 80 ?

I am in, user admin with the new requested password it was ?, but none of my devices transferred. So will even try to redo the migration and otherwise start from scratch...

    Thanks for your help!

  • Well I was doing the migration a second time and it was working! So for anyone who had a crash while migrating, undoing isn't possible, but migrate a second time works!

@pnutp0wer: now I got the finish migration popup, the first time not.

    Thank you for your help!

I did it 3 times all 3 stucked and needed Fibaro to release HC2 again.

So I did device by device also the build in ones easy to ex- and include , no need to take them out just reachable to push the button.

    Succes,

    Sjakie

Yeah it is always difficult to start with Fibaro (and other brands), always something goes wrong. But hope I get used to the HC3, because I had a lot of automations in my HC2. And thank you for your support ?
