Connect Smart Implant to Thermostat

bjhvos

Question

I want to measure when the thermostat of my cv is on. So when it gives a command to the cv to burn. In my believe I’ll need a NO or NC connection without the + or - from the implant. Anyone a good suggestion?

Thanks

BR,

Bob

If you have a on/off thermostat and not an opentherm version it will do

You can also put a wall plug between heater device and wall connector.

If power >x and  < y  heater is on

When you have  a combi heater you can also detect if tapping hot water is on this power value is much lower as heating.

If power >z and  < x

If power >1 and  < z   pump is on (heater off)

If you ave opentherm you can do it only with a WIFI thermostate.

Intergas gateway is not a good solution because you have mostly from midnight maintenace from Intergas and if you use it to operate the heather it can go often wrong.

  • Thanks. In this diagram there is no example for one NC or NO without the “-“ connection

    I don't understand why you don't want / can't use gnd (-)?
    Gnd for input activation is crucial because it is measured at the SI input against GND as a reference potential.
    connect:
    GND SI -> COM thermostat
    IN1 SI -> NO thermostat

    Then it will apply that when the thermostat is closed, the input on the SI will close.

    Attention. If this thermostat has a direct voltage of 230V at its outputs, you must insert a relay for circuit separation into the circuit and connect the SI up to this relay.
