Turn on the boiler when "The Heat Controller" opens the valve to the radiator

Eduard

Question

Hello,

I have "The Heat Controller" (FGT-001)  installed in a room and i want to turn the boiler on when warmwater is required (the valve is open).

I created a scene that looks at Mode == "Heat" to turn the boiler on and Mode == "Off" to turn the boiler off, but my guess is that "Heat" means that the controller is operational.

Can anyone help me, how i know if the heatcontroller has the valve open, so i can power up the boiler?

Regards,

Eduard Witteveen

That is wrong way, I think.

You have to use Heat on demand option:

It doesn’t work very well, but it works.

Hello @Eduard.

Here you find a script for a HC2 ( not so nice code but it works, you can have a look at it.)

Thank you @Tomislav Barbarić, that worked without a line of code, thank you!

Only 1 question left: i only can see the Heat Controllers with an button in the Heat-Controller-Add dialog.
How can i add the (older) Heat Controllers to the list?

The older one, which needs a key to press the button, doenst have a parameter2 "heating medium demand reports" option in the device itselve.

Both type of devices identify as: com.fibaro.FGT001 with firmware 4.7

How can i add those older controllers?

Update the device to 4.7 and select reconfigure the device. After that the parameter will be shown

  • I've updated both devices to version 4.7 and they turn up in the list.

I've seen it working one time, but most of the time not.

What am i doing wrong, and is there a way to see that is going on or to debug these components?
