Smart implant as a rain sensor on HC3

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have a Smart implant and I want it to be a rain sensor on one of the binary sensors.

I use the fist wire of binary sensor along with ground to connect to a small plate with conductive paths. The Idea is that the rain to short-circuit the paths and to breach the sensor.

The problem is that is not working... :(

If I manually short the wires, I get the breach status but no luck with the water. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Can you help? Maybe there's a parameter I need to set?

Thanks!

R

so if you connect red to black on the sensor it works?

if so, the water you use is to clean

it's better to use something like this:

    Hi @Razvanv ,

KEMO rain sensor can also work nicely with smart implant:

Advantage of the KEMO rain sensor is built in heater that can prevent unwanted freezing or wetting of the sensor surface and thus false alarms.

    • Sometimes salinity is an issue with these units, this one worked fine with filtered, bottled water, but in some instances you may have to add a bit of salt to increase the waters conduction.
