Qubino Flush Shutter DC - Louvre windows? and DIN mounting?

Tim__

Question

Hi all,

I plan to purchase some Qubino Flush Shutter DC devices to control louvre windows, as well as a linear actuator.  Both of these are 24V motorised units with limit switches. Control is performed by reversing polarity to the motor.  Anyone have any experience with these devices and HC2?

Also, has anyone mounted these devices on a DIN rail?  For Fibaro devices, Haseman and EUFix both make 3rd party DIN enclosures.  Interested to hear if someone has a solution for Qubino devices.

Cheers!

Tim

Hello Tim,

Yes I have 5 pieces on HC2 working for >2 years.

Easy to add, automatic calibration fine stuff.

I dont have DIN rail mine are mounted at the back side of the motor.

  • Thanks@Sjakie.  A question, do any of your Flush Shutters operate multiple motors? Or do you have one Flush Shutter for each motor?

  • Here's an update on my project:

The louvre windows have been installed and are 24V DC, they open and close nicely.  There are up to 3 motors per window, and each window has it's own Qubino Flush Shutter DC device (so multiple motors per device are not a problem). I bought 5 x Flush Shutter DCs.

I couldn't find ready made DIN housings (like the Haseman ones for Fibaro devices), so made one myself.  Bought a 5 module wide DIN enclosure and crammed all 5 devices in.  Added tactile switches, to be used for calibrating and in case of any controller issues.  There are no external switches - windows will be controlled by code and the mobile app.

When including the Qubino devices, the HC2 reports that some devices don't have templates.  This means that no advanced parameters are loaded.  I think you can add these manually (I haven't needed to try yet, I am sticking with default values for now).  However the devices work fine, and you can calibrate by following the Qubino instruction manual (open fully, close fully, open fully).

This link helps with the alternative way to calibrate (by setting an HC2 advanced parameter).
