Hallo. 

One question. Will the HC2 also get an update to the Z-Wave 2 engine?

no, because Fibaro reached anyway much more than ever expected from zw300 based gateway, and even for zw500 based (like HC3) they had to use new engine in order to get it z-wave certfied (and to support more things in the future).
