Motion sensor, to avoid detecting while home?

CekariYH

Question

Hi,

How do one configure the motion sensor to turn off motion detection while I'm at home, and it should ofc turn on while gone?

Thought the geodefence could do that but no it seems... or I don't know how to... or do I need to buy some more things to make itv work and what if so?

I have the Home Center Lite.

Quite distracting getting like 300-500 notifikations and larms a day :-)

Philip HUE can do this and it turn lights on or depending if I'm home or not, leaving home and coming home etc.

Thanks for your help!

Your Best Bet would be to use a Profile in your Scene so the trigger for your notification/Alarms only happen when you are in Away mode.

You can then use the Geofencing to change yourself from Home/Away mode

  • Hi TP,

Hmmm, I can't find the screens you show here, are they really in the Home Center Light?

    Seems pretty straight forward tho...

Well, have to check again so Thanks so far :-)

    HC3(L)

You can help people answering with updating your profile which gateway you use. It is in your question, but one can easily read over that.

If the geofence on the HC Lite doesn't work, maybe IFTTT will do the job for you

Sorry, I'm new to this so I don't know what that means.

You or anyone else don't have to bother with this anymore, as the only way I could make the motion sensor to shut up was to remove the battery, and I did.

Bought the Hue motion sensor and had it setup in 2 minutes, and all is working great now.

    Thanks all for trying.
