Dead device that still works.....

amatt

Question

I have a in wall toggle switch that i connected to my HC2 (latest version). it has been working great until now. The device will be working and then becomes "dead" "communication problem". if i awake the dead node and press turn off/on it says "transfer OK" and turns on/off the light. it stays this way for a while then goes dead again. Distance should not be an issue as it is about 10 feet from HC2. all other devices and scenes are working. I do not understand why this device keeps going dead even though it can still receive a command. Can someone help me understand what is happening and/or have a solution?

Battery going flat in your device?

Excessive zwave traffic / interference?

Radio failure in the wall switch?

Otherwise this is weird behaviour...

and he is from the US, it is possible that he is using a device that is not supported by fibaro.

We mark device as a dead when we don't get from him, ack. So yes device may work but we got problem with range and sometimes dont hear commands. Because when we received any frame from it we mark as undead it. So when we don't do that mean our gateway don't hear anything from this device. Try rebuild mesh and use other device to have as a hop

  • This is an electrical powered unit no battery. Yes all of my devices are US frequency. this is the device GE EZ Smart Switch Z-Wave Plus ZW4003. There should not be any interference all I have within a 40 foot diameter is a wifi router, what else could be causing interference? I will try reconfiguring the mesh network and see if that helps.
