Local access? Can this be used for port-forwarding?

I used to use port-forwarding in the old HC2 App for speedy local access and out side of the house.  I'm glad you bring back the local access option to HC3 App.

My question is, for LOCAL ACCESS MODE, in the server IP address BOX, can I fill in the TEXT URL ADDRESS? for example, "myhome.mynetgear.com"

And what port I need to forward in order to use this LOCAL ACCESS MODE?  Can I fill in the IP address BOX with port?  for example "myhome.mynetgear.com:8888"?

22 - only for Fibaro

80/443 web to Hc3 - up to u

5060/5061 - voip

for what purposes 500 (vpn?) and 9999 - idk, maybe Mr @tinmanknows.

but i can recommend  forward only 80 or 433 port via revers proxy and nginx.

Ah, not documented, but is runs a web socket service

Result:

{"type":"serialNumber","data":"HC3-000123456789","recoveryMode":false}

Not terribly exciting, but hey, that is all I know about port 9999 :D

Of course, this is of zero interest to the topic starter, but I could not resist the temptation to post.

500/9999 are internal for HC Server, afaik Master/Slave communication and HC service detection

  • I'm not quite clear.  Can you summerise which ports I need to do "port forwarding"?  Also, has anyone try to use URL address in the 1.13 app version?

  • It works (port 80).  Thank you very much.  Now my app is much faster now working as local access (with port-forwarding on my router).

    ? breaking!

The Chinese hackers hacked Pentagon's server

    workflow:
    1. Every Chinese has tried one password.
    2. Every second password was "Mao Zedong"
    3. On 74357181 attempt, the server agreed that it had the password "Mao Zedong"

A fiction is this story though, to catch the message don't be slow.
